In the bible, sometimes the blessings sound like curses... so it seems to me that blessing has various facets... the most comforting being a good word and good hopes and wishes. Yet sometimes it's just the good word of truth, which can hurt. I’ve always been interested in the concept of blessing (and I suppose it doesn’t hurt that this is the meaning of my last name!).
